This beautiful 18th Century Grade 2 listed cottage apartment has recently been completely renovated including double glazing, gas central heating, sound proofing and insulation yet still retains many of its old beamed ceilings and character. This is the view from the lounge and both bedrooms, it’s lovely and quiet set back on the Cragg, if you open the windows all you hear is the sea. NOT pet friendly. From every room over three floors there are views of Whitby harbour, the river Esk, St. Marys Church and Abbey and out to sea. Stella Maris means Star of the Sea and this property certainly is. The entrance to the apartment is in the little quaint back alley, The Cragg, Holiday cottage entrance door which is full of Whitby character from the olden days. This is accessed from the front of the harbour on Pier Road via a flight of stone steps. Loading parking bays are available at the foot of the steps. Open plan living room, kitchen and dining area with 32inch Flat Screen T.V. with integral DVD Player. The kitchen is well equipped and has modern integral facilities including washing machine and dish washer. The staircase leads up to first-floor double bedroom and fully tiled bathroom with shower. The attic twin bedroom (“The Crow’s Nest”) has character beams, again beautiful views down into the bustling harbour. If you are looking for an apartment that is quiet with glorious iconic views you can do no better! The cottage is strictly No Smoking and sorry no pets.
